A PORCELAIN PANELLED CORNICHE CASED STRIKE REPEAT CARRIAGE CLOCK. CIRCA 1880.

A very attractive porcelain panelled carriage clock. The panels of fine quality depicting country scenes with trees, flowers and a lake in the background. The dial applied on one of the panels in the form of a white enamel chapter ring, has Roman numerals and spade hands. All the panels have white enamel jewels and gold edging with a blue background.

The eight day movement has a nice silvered lever platform escapement and strikes and repeats the hours on a gong mounted on the backplate. The movement is numbered 181.
