W.H. CARTER, CRAWLEY. A PARTICULARLY SMALL ENGLISH DROP DIAL WALL CLOCK. CIRCA 1840.

A nice and small mahogany cased drop dial wall clock. The case of typical form with well figured veneer to the trunk and with nicely shaped and figured mahogany dial surround.

The 8" cream painted dial is signed W.H. Carter, Crawley, with blued steel spade hands and cast brass bezel, the bezel secured by a lock at 9 o’clock.

The 8 day gut fusee movement of typical form with a brass pendulum, the rating nut reached via the door in the bottom of the case.
